Scorecard Panel Location and Options
The Scorecard panel is typically located in the bottom-right corner of the NV Play Cricket for Windows interface when using a default Scoring view (View > Scoring - Default or View > Scoring - All Coding).
In the overview video below, the panel location has been moved to the upper-right for demonstration purposes.
The Scorecard panel contains several tabs along the bottom, which rename the panel depending on the selected tab. These tabs can be:
- Removed by clicking the "X" in the top-right of the tab and confirming closure (that is, by clicking the Continue button on the dialogue that opens).
- Added via the View > Scorecard Data menu, where individual tabs can be selected as needed.
- Rearranged by dragging them left or right.
Scorecard tab
This is the default tab, and displays:
- The Batting Scorecard on the left.
- The Bowling Scorecard on the right, with Fall of Wicket details below.
- Extras, totals, minutes, dot balls, and boundaries at the bottom.
- Details for the striker, non-striker, and current bowler that are auto-expanded and updated ball by ball. These players are shown in bold and underlined.
Clicking on the name of any player who has already batted or bowled toggles an expanded detailed view.
Auto-expansion of the current batter or bowler's details can be disabled by clicking the Settings cog icon () in the panel's top-right corner and then deselecting the Auto Expand Current Players option. You can still expand these details manually by clicking the players' names.
Scorebook tab
This tab presents the key components of a traditional box-style scorebook that:
- Focuses on current batters and bowlers.
- Updates with each ball.
- Auto-expands during play breaks to show the full scorebook, then reverts.
- Shows the striker and current bowler underlined.
- Expands to show the entire scorebook on any break in play, then reverts back to focusing on batters and bowlers on resumption of play.
To show the full scorebook during play, double-click anywhere in the panel. To enable or disable auto-focus on the active players, click the Settings cog icon () in the panel's top-right corner and select or deselect the Auto Focus on Active Players during Play option.
Partnerships tab
The Partnerships tab displays:
- Details of each partnership as wickets fall, and the current pair, in text and graphical form.
- Contributions of both batters (runs and balls).
- Duration of the partnership in minutes, the time the partnership started and ended, and the over and score at which a wicket fell.
Over by Over tab
Tracks over-by-over data including:
- Who bowled each over.
- Runs, wickets, and extras per over.
- Team score after each over.
- For the second innings, the opposition score at the same stage.
Spells tab
Logs bowling spells sequentially, including the end of the ground from which each spell was bowled.
Sessions Tab
Designed for multi-day matches, this tab splits play into:
- Morning, afternoon, and evening sessions (separated by lunch and tea).
- Tracks overs, runs, wickets, dot balls, run breakdowns, session duration, and run rate.
- Automatically notes team score and current batters when a session ends (e.g., when using Play State > Lunch or Play State > Tea from the Play Control panel).
Stats Wizard tab
The Stats Wizard tab displays configurable statistics from both scoring data and video analysis (if available). This tab:
- Displays items like wagon wheels and pitch maps.
- Adjusts the infomation shown depending on user-defined filters (selected from the Filter, Advanced and Fielding tabs in the bottom-left corner).
The volume, type and quality of statistics shown on this tab rely entirely on how much, and the quality of, information being recorded during the match.
Much of the data visible in these tabs is also accessible as printable reports from the Statistics menu.
