Some users have recently been experiencing occasional issues where some data fields on a Tools -> Configuration -> Scoreboard -> Fixed Digit Scoreboard (FSL Controllers Only) scoreboard sometimes do not update immediately after scoring a ball.
NV Play has worked with some affected users and the FSL scoreboard manufacturers and believe that the issue is caused by an FTDI drivers incompatibility with Windows 11, for which Windows Updates do not now automatically check for FTDI driver updates.
However, affected users can follow the below the below process to resolve this issue:
We recommend that all users (whether you have experienced this issue or not) running Windows 10/11 install the latest FTDI drivers (2.12.36.20) for controlling these scoreboards. These can be downloaded from https://ftdichip.com/drivers/vcp-drivers/ via the Windows (Desktop) -> X64 (64-Bit) link on the first Processor Architecture table about halfway down the page. There is also a “setup executable” link on the right of this table for those wanting to install the drivers without being connected to the scoreboard controller.

We can confirm that our investigation of the information and Diagnostics provided by some affected users revealed that NV Play Cricket/PCS Pro is still triggering commands immediately, as expected. However, we will continue to work with FSL, taking into account the suggestions made on this thread, to improve the NV Play Cricket/PCS Pro integration with the scoreboard hardware.
