Team logos (and team colours) make identifying opposing teams in stream overlays, cards, and statistical graphs easier for viewers and scorers. You can add team logo images for any team in the NV Play Cricket software. Once added, these images are shown in the following locations:

  • Live Stream Overlay: Here, the team logo of the batting side is shown on the left end of the score overlay, and the bowling side team logo on the right (when a logo image is not available, the team's name is shown instead).

  • Video Highlights and Ball Clips: Logo images are overlaid on video clips captured during play, and visible in both live uploads and post-match highlight packages.
  • Replay Screen or Video Scoreboard: Team logos are also shown on many slides when using the Replay Screen Control panel (for example on cards that show team information, such as Manhattan and Wagon Wheel graphs).

Preparing Team Logo Images

We recommend that you prepare and maintain a folder of team logo image files ahead of match day. This is especially important for multi-team events when you might not know which teams will be playing on the day.

The team logo images you prepare should ideally:

  • Be 300 × 300 pixels (or square) for clarity.
  • Use a transparent background PNG for the cleanest look.

The NV Play Cricket software will also accept images in other formats (such as GIF), or without transparent backgrounds, but be aware that these might look soft or jagged on video overlays.

Adding a Team Logo Image

To add team logos in NV Play Cricket software during a match (for either playing team):

You must have suitable permissions to edit team details during a match.

  1. Go to Scoring > Match Details/Teams. The Edit Match dialogue opens.
  2. Click the Edit button next to the team you want to edit, near the top of the dialogue. The Edit Team dialogue opens.
  3. Click the Browse button in the Team Logo section. The Windows Explorer interface opens.
  4. Browse to an appropriate image file on your computer (ideally a transparent PNG or JPEG) and then click Open to upload the image.
  5. Click Save on the Edit Team dialogue to confirm and save your change and then Save on the Edit Match dialogue.

When you change or add team logos while a match is streaming, the logo is added or changed instantly. For this reason, you might want to change or add team logos during a break in play.

To add team logos to your match database when a game isn't underway:

  1. Go to Tools > Edit Database. The Edit Database dialogue opens.
  2. Click the Teams tab.
  3. Open the Club dropdown and select the club the team belongs to. All teams that belong to the club are added to the list to the left of the dialogue.
  4. Select a team from the teams list.
  5. Click the Replace button in the Team Logo section. The Windows Explorer interface opens.

To remove an existing team logo, instead click the Remove button and then click the Save button highlighted in yellow on the Teams tab. This will save the team without a logo.

  6. Browse to an appropriate image file on your computer (ideally a transparent PNG or JPEG) and then click Open to upload the image.
  7. Click the Save button highlighted in yellow on the Teams tab. Repeat from step 3 for as many team logos as are required.
  8. Click Close when you have finished adding logos to save and close the Edit Database dialogue.
