Team colours (like team logos) are used to visually differentiate opposing teams, making identifying teams in stream overlays, cards, and statistical graphs easier for viewers and scorers.

You can set team colours in two locations in the NV Play Cricket for Windows software:

  • Match Database: You can specify primary and secondary team colours for each team stored in the database (Tools > Edit Database). Once set, the NV Play Cricket software will use the primary colour as its first choice, and the secondary colour if both teams use the same primary selection.
  • Manual Override: You can also manually and temporarily override the team colours chosen by the software (based on the primary and secondary colours set in the match database) on match day. This is useful if the colours are too similar, or don't provide enough contrast.

Once team colours have been set, they are used in the following locations:

  • Live Stream Overlay: Here, team colours are shown behind team scores, names, players, and statistics.

  • Video Highlights and Ball Clips: Team colours are overlaid on video clips captured during play, and visible in both live uploads and post-match highlight packages.
  • Replay Screen and Scoreboard: Team colours are also shown on many slides when using the Replay Screen Control panel (for example on cards that show team information, such as Manhattan and Wagon Wheel graphs).
