This guide describes two ways to code Pitch Map and Ball Arrival measurements directly from the Video Player: using the Pitch Map and Ball Arrival coding panels, or coding directly on the video display using Vision AI detections.

Pitch and Arrival coding using the Video Player

This feature requires a Video Analysis Pro licence.

For ease of use, coding Pitch Map and Ball Arrival can be done directly within the Video Player. This is particularly useful if you are coding a match from ball clips, or would like to review and update existing coding.

To code Pitch and Arrival using the coding panels:

  1. Enable Show Pitch Map and Ball Arrival coding panels in the Configuration > General menu.
  2. Load a queue of ball clips in the Video Player.
  3. Enable either the Pitch Map or Ball Arrival coding panel by clicking on it.
  4. Click on the Pitch Map or Ball Arrival coding panel to update the coding measurement. This is displayed as a yellow dot.
  5. Move to the next ball clip, or close the Video Player. Changes are saved on close.

This feature is not supported when opening the Video Player from the Multi-Match Stats Wizard.

Coding Pitch and Arrival on the Video Display

This feature requires a Vision AI licence and Vision AI data on the ball clip being reviewed.

Users with a Vision AI licence and Vision AI data on a ball can create or update the Pitch and Arrival measurements directly on the ball clip itself. This enhancement significantly improves workflow efficiency, streamlining the process of queuing up ball clips in the Video Player to quickly review Vision AI detections and update them where required.

To code Pitch and Arrival on the video display:

  1. Enable Show Pitch Map and Ball Arrival coding panels in the Configuration > General menu.
  2. Load a queue of ball clips in the Video Player.
  3. Enable either the Pitch Map or Ball Arrival coding panel by clicking on it.
  4. Click on the Video Player to update the coding measurement. This is displayed as a yellow dot.
  5. Move to the next ball clip, or close the Video Player. Changes are saved on close.

This feature is not supported when opening the Video Player from the Multi-Match Stats Wizard.
