Recommended Settings for Hikvision IP Cameras

After extensive testing on the Hikvision DS-2DE44251W-DE camera, which is provided with the NV Play Club Elite, Specialist, and Elite hardware kits, our Recommended Settings applicable to various use cases are shown below. These settings can be applied in the camera's web portal (i.e., it's IP address entered into a web browser) after it has been setup and connected to the laptop.

High Quality: Best Settings that produce high quality video at a reasonable bandwidth.

Medium Quality: Best Settings that produce high quality video at a reasonable bandwidth.

We recommend starting with the Settings used for the High Quality use case.

We recommend H.265 Video Encoding to H.264 as it has a lower data requirement. The Bit Rate Type should always be Constant.

Clubs can still set what their final stream output is via Tools -> Configuration -> Live Streaming from within PCS Pro/NV Play Pro Cricket Scorer. We suggest starting streaming at 720p Resolution for your first match, before attempting to stream at 1080p, if that goes well.

We would also recommend the following changes on the Image tab within the camera's web portal:

  • Scene Mode = Outdoor
  • Max Shutter Limit = 1/50
  • Digital Noise Reduction = Set to EXPERT.
