What's in the kit
Your CLUB Live Streaming Hardware Kit includes:
- USB camera with integrated 2 metre USB cable
Unpacking and setting up
Set up the camera where your scorer will be located on match day. This is typically on a desk facing the field.
Next, connect the camera to your laptop computer:
- Turn on your computer.
- Plug the USB camera cable into a USB port on your laptop. The camera will power on automatically (it is a plug-and-play compatible device).
- Adjust the camera position. Use a tripod or other objects (like books) to prop up the camera and aim it toward the field. The camera should see the entire pitch to best capture match details. Fine adjustments cannot be made until you have configured the NV Play Cricket software to show a preview of the live camera feed.
Configuring your software
Before you can see live video from your new IP camera, you must make the following software configuration changes:
- Go to Video > Video Configuration. The Configuration dialogue opens.
- Check that Enabled is selected in the top Video Capture section.
- Click the Add new Capture Device link in the Video Capture Devices section. The Capture Device Settings dialogue opens.
- Click the Other Devices and Cameras radio button to the left of the dialogue.
- Open the Capture Device dropdown menu in the Device Details section.
- Select your USB camera from the dropdown list.
- Leave the Video Capture Bitrate field set to the default 5000 Kbps.
- Click OK, then OK again to save your changes and close the dialogues. The Video Display panel will show “Starting Video” for 2-3 seconds then the live camera feed will appear.
- Return to the USB camera and use the zoom and focus controls on top of the camera to adjust the image. Remember to remove the lens cap.
