This guide summarises frequently asked support questions about scoring in NV Play Cricket for Windows.
If you have a question or issue related to scoring that it isn't answered below, please submit a support request.
A Scorecard video disappeared. Why?
If video was previously visible on the Match Centre but is no longer showing, it's likely that a post-match edit was made in Play-Cricket.
This type of edit reverts the Scorecard panel to the Play-Cricket version (which might be considered more accurate), rather than the NV Play Cricket version.
When this happens, ball clips are removed from the Scorecard panel but remain available on the Ball by Ball and Videos tabs.
To restore the clips to the Scorecard panel:
- Reopen the match in NV Play Cricket (or Play-Cricket Scorer Pro) as a Live Scorer.
- Make a minor scoring edit; for example, change a 1 to a Bye or Leg Bye and then back again.
This edit forces the Scorecard panel to revert to the Play-Cricket Scorer Pro/NV Play Cricket version and reinstates the video clip links, as the system uses a “last edit wins” approach.
If this does not resolve the issue, or if you would prefer the Scorecard panel not to revert to the Play-Cricket version after post-match edits, please contact the Play-Cricket Help Desk by emailing play-cricket@ecb.co.uk.
