Users should then type the following commands and press enter:

  • sqllocaldb stop MSSQLLocalDB
  • sqllocaldb start MSSQLLocalDB

Once the start command is complete, reopen NV Play Pro Cricket Scorer/Play-Cricket Scorer Pro. If this has not resolved the crash, re-open a Command Prompt and then type these commands:

  • sqlLocalDB delete MSSQLLocalDB
  • sqlLocalDB create MSSQLLocalDB
  • sqllocaldb start MSSQLLocalDB

Users can also try deleting their local SQL database by:

  • Close NV Play Pro Cricket Scorer/Play-Cricket Scorer Pro
  • In Windows explorer, delete the folder at C:\Program Files (x86)\NV Play\Cricket\Database (which includes the two database files ‘NVPlayCricket_Production_log.ldf’ and ‘NVPlayCricket_Production.mdf’)
  • Re-open NV Play Pro Cricket Scorer/Play-Cricket Scorer Pro and login
  • If this is successful, accept the prompt to sync with the server, as usual

If this doesn’t resolve the issue, please:

If reopening NV Play Pro Cricket Scorer/Play-Cricket Scorer still fails, please send the %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server Local DB\Instances\mssqllocaldb\error.log file to support@nvplay.com for NV Play Pro Cricket Scorer users and play.cricket@ecb.co.uk for Play-Cricket Scorer Pro users for further investigation.
