Some users have recently reported that certain data fields in the Fixed Digit Scoreboard output do not always update immediately after a ball is scored.
After investigation, we believe this issue is caused by an incompatibility between the FTDI drivers and Windows 11. Windows Updates no longer automatically install the latest FTDI driver updates, which can lead to this behaviour.
Diagnostics from affected users confirm that NV Play Cricket/PCS Pro is sending scoreboard commands immediately as expected, with any delay occurring at the driver level.
Recommended Action
We recommend that all users running Windows 10 or Windows 11 install the latest FTDI drivers (v2.12.36.20), regardless of whether you have experienced this issue.
-
Download the drivers
Visit: FTDI VCP Drivers
Navigate to the Windows (Desktop) → X64 (64-Bit) link in the Processor Architecture table (about halfway down the page).
For convenience, you may also use the direct link: CDM v2.12.36.20 Universal Driver (x64, WHQL Certified).
Alternatively, a “setup executable” is available on the right-hand side of the table for installing without connecting to the scoreboard controller.

Install the drivers
