This guide explains how to correct or change the selected batter, either due to an error or a late update in the batting order, and how to handle unexpected striker changes.

Change Batter After a Selection
If the wrong incoming batter was selected (e.g. due to a last-minute batting order change), there is no need to undo the wicket.
To quickly change a batter:
- Click the name of the Striker or Non-Striker on the Play Control panel to open the dropdown menu.
- Select the correct batter from the list of eligible players.
This can be done even if several deliveries have already been recorded, as long as no runs have been scored by the batter.
Autocorrect Options for Player Changes
If you attempt to replace a batter who has already scored in the innings, the Auto Correct dialogue will open.
In this case:
- Click Yes to replace the player for the entire innings. All previous deliveries faced are reassigned to the new player.
- Click No to set the current player as retired (either Retired Out or Retired Not Out). The new player is inserted from this point forward.
Swapping Striker and Non-Striker
To swap the order of the Striker and the Non-Striker:
- Click the Swap Batters button next to the striker’s name on the Play Control panel.
- If this causes the system to detect a potential inconsistency (e.g. batter not at expected ends), the Auto Correct dialogue opens with the following choices:
-
- Yes – Batters Crossed: Use if the batters crossed during the last ball (e.g. caught).
- Yes – Run Short: Use if there was a short run and you didn’t record it earlier.
- No – Switch Batters Anyway: Use for any other reason.
Both Batters Crossed and Run Short are logged as events and will appear in the Ball by Ball panel and in printed reports.
The previous delivery will also be underlined in the Scorecard panel to show that the batters ended on unexpected ends for the number of runs scored.
