Exporting Matches
To export one or more matches from your local NV Play Cricket for Windows database as cricket match files (.CRI format):
- Go to File > Export Matches. The Bulk Match Export dialogue opens.
- Click the Browse button. The Browse For Folder dialogue opens.
- Navigate to the location the exported match files will be stored, select the folder name, and then click OK.
- Click the matches you want to export from the Bulk Match Export dialogue list, highlighting them in blue.
- To select more than one match, hold down your Ctrl key and click the required matches.
- To select a consecutive group of matches, click the first match, then hold the Shift key and click the last match in the range.
- Use the filters at the top of the export window to narrow down and quickly locate specific matches.
- Tick the Export Video checkbox in the upper-right corner of the dialogue if any of the selected matches contain video footage, then use the surrounding checkboxes to select the types of videos to export.
- Click the Export button. Each match is exported from your local database to the selected location as a match file with a .CRI extension. The Bulk Match Export dialogue opens showing the number of matches successfully exported.
- Click Close.
- Click Close on the Bulk Match Export dialogue to close and exit.
You can use match export .CRI files to save time when creating local matches and to ensure consistency.
One scorer can create a match, export it, and then provide copies of their export file to other scorers to import. This ensures that all scorers have identical match, team and player details.
Export Scoring Data
You can also export scoring and analysis information as a spreadsheet in CSV format rather than as part of a .CRI match export file.
To export in this format, during the export process described above:
- Tick the Export ball data only to checkbox in the bottom-right corner of the Bulk Match Export dialogue.
- Open the dropdown box beside the checkbox and choose Single CSV to create a single spreadsheet file for all exported matches, or Multiple CSVs to create individual spreadsheet files for each match. Only spreadsheet files are exported when using this process, not .CRI format matches.
