Scoring Panel Layout
The Scoring panel (View > Scoring Entry > Scoring) uses one of two toolbar layouts:
- One-Click Scoring: This is the default scoring panel layout, and provides a wide range of buttons to handle nearly all scoring possibilities with a single click. It offers convenience but occupies more space in the scoring window.
-
Standard Scoring: This toolbar layout is enabled from the Settings cog icon (
) in the panel's top-right corner by selecting the Standard option. This layout shows fewer buttons, taking up less space, but requires a combination of button clicks to score anything other than basic runs.
When using the Standard Scoring layout, some important points to remember are:
- Always click the number of runs last, as doing so completes the scoring entry.
- All other relevant buttons (e.g., wides, no balls, bye) must be clicked before selecting the run value.
- The order of the buttons you click before the run number doesn’t matter, just ensure the number is clicked last.
Here are several scoring examples using the Standard Scoring toolbar layout:
- Dot Ball: Click the 0 button.
- Two Runs: Click the 2 button.
- Wide with No Runs: Click Wide, then 0.
- Five Wides: Click Wide, then 4 (boundary four).
- Four Byes: Click Bye, then 4.
