This guide explains how the Auto Correct feature assists when editing runs or extras in Edit mode, particularly if the change affects which batter is on strike.

Auto Correct Overview
The Auto Correct feature is automatically activated If you make a scoring change (typically using Edit mode) that affects the striker rotation. For example, if you changed delivery 11.4 from 1 to 2 runs. When activated, the Auto Correct dialogue opens.
The Auto Correct dialogue shows, in red text:
- The impact of your scoring change on subsequent deliveries.
- Updated runs and balls faced by each batter for you to verify.
Click the Auto Correct button on the dialogue if you believe that the suggested changes are accurate. This will automatically apply the suggested changes to all affected entries.
When to Avoid Auto Correct
If you manually swap the striker and non-striker during play and then continue scoring before manually correcting any errors, the Auto Correct feature might misinterpret some of the already-corrected data.
In this case:
- Edit the incorrect delivery (e.g. change ball 11.4 from 1 to 2 runs). See Using Edit Mode.
- Click the Continue without Auto Correct button on the Auto Correct dialogue that opens.
- Manually correct the striker on each delivery between the error and the point where you manually switched batters.
